Those we Love remain with us,
for Love itself lives on.
Cherished memories never fade,
because our loved one is gone.
Those we Love can never be,
more than a thought apart,
for as long as there’s a memory
they are forever in our heart
God looked around his garden,
and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you,
and lifted you to rest.
God`s garden must be beautiful,
he always takes the best.
God knew you were so tired,
and a cure was not to be.
So he closed your weary eyelids,
and whispered “come to me”
With tearful eyes we watched you,
and saw you slip away.
Although we loved you dearly,
we knew you could not stay.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.
You`re still there, though I can`t
see you, I feel you in the air.
Someone passes by, I smell you,
in the perfume that they wear.
The table with you missing,
is a very empty place.
I look amongst the family,
for traces of your face.
Left behind I bide my time,
and know that day by day.
The pain will slowly soften,
if to never go away.
I think I'll always miss you,
hope that this will not be so.
Please say that there's an end
to this, that the pain will go.
Tell me that the memories,
will soon make me smile.
That there wont be an hour,
when I don't think of you, the
whole while.
Your memory wont be far
from me, the hurt will fade to
an ache.
Until then I hold together the pieces,
of a heart about to break.

Hiya I didnt know your mam, but I lost my mam to cancer aswell 5 years ago so I know what your going through. Please take comfort in knowing that she is in no more pain and she is with the angels now.
